Voicemail Instructions

Setting-Up Your Voicemail
To set-up your mailbox simply dial 9911 from your own mobile phone in Germany. You will then be prompted to define your voicemail PIN code, personalised greeting and other options.

Defining Your PIN:
Your PIN code should be an easy to remember code consisting of between 4 to 10 digits. This code will enable you to access your mailbox when calling voicemail from a phone other than your own or when you are outside of Germany.

You PIN code must contain at least 3 different digits. It cannot be the same number as your mobile phone or an ascending/descending numerical number.

Tip! Simply use the PIN code for your mobile phone.

You can change your PIN code at anytime by selecting option 1 in the Personal Options menu on your phone.

Defining Your Greeting:
After entering your PIN, you will be asked to record your full name. You will then be asked to record your personal greeting of up to a maximum duration of 40 seconds, or set the standard welcome message as your greeting.

If you select the standard welcome message, your callers will hear the following: ‘This is the mailbox of XX. Your call cannot be answered right now. However, you can leave your name and a message’.

To change any of your settings or activate any of the services available with ACN Voicemail, follow the menu options that you hear when you dial 9911.

Accessing Your Voicemail:
After your first login, simply dial 9911 from your mobile phone at anytime to listen to and manage your messages.

To reach your voicemail from another phone (fixed or mobile) dial your own mobile number. Interrupt the greeting phrase by entering ‘*’ and then enter your voicemail PIN code. You will then be able to hear your messages.

When outside of Germany the voicemail dial in number is +49 177 9911. Please note that normal roaming charges will apply and you will only be able to reach your voicemail from your own mobile phone.

Tip!  It is a good idea to store the international voicemail access number +49 177 9911 in your mobile phone so that you can dial it quickly and easily both in and outside of Germany.
